The Charleston Food & Heritage Festival will look a little different this year. We can’t gather to enjoy the food, so we will bring the food to you! Click the link to order your favorite Nosh items!
Now in its 8th year, the Nosh is intended to attract the entire Charleston community and encourage people to experience Jewish food, music and culture and to learn about KKBE’s rich history and unique contributions to Reform Judaism as they wander down Hasell Street (on which traffic is reserved for pedestrians only). One of the goals for this inclusive event is to engage many KKBE congregants to volunteer in meaningful activity while promoting Charleston’s rich Jewish heritage. The Nosh also features a kid’s zone, designed to provide enriching activities for younger participants. In 2019, the last LIVE event due to COVID, over 5000 people attended the festival, and the event is on track to be even bigger this year.
Food options, purchased with cash or credit card, will include New York kosher- style corned beef and pastrami sandwiches, knishes, kugel, hot dogs, bagels, lox and cream cheese, homemade and donated baked goods, challah, matzo ball soup and Dr. Brown’s sodas. Food sale proceeds benefit the historic synagogue.
The Lowcountry Nosh has become a signature, annual festival in Charleston and plays a major role in showcasing KKBE’s long and meaningful relationship with the greater community. All are welcomed at this free community event.
